HOW EFFECTIVE IS THIRD PARTY MEDIATION IN RESOLVING INTERNATIONAL CONFLICTS? DISCUSS WITH REFERENCE TO A CASE STUDY

The aim of this research  is to underline how (what are defined the cornerstones of the Fourth Industrial Revolution[1], i.e. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain technology) can influence the role of the third party in international conflicts by increasing the standards of effectiveness of the mediation process. The United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue has recently focused on the role of digital technologies in armed conflict, underlining the need to “raise awareness among mediation practitioners of the implications of digital technology use in mediation contexts”[2].
