* Circles in a Circle – Vasily Kandinsky (1923). The circle is the synthesis of the greatest oppositions. It combines the concentric and the excentric in a single form, and in balance.
It is now the time for a human rights revolution, and for a growing awareness of the crucial importance of international law. Laws are rules created by ourselves for ourselves, put to the test in this way to organise the community. The same is been done for international law: rules for a worldwide community. Scholars, researchers, and professors of international law have always underlined the importance of an international legal system, contrasting the opinion of a non-existing international law. Therefore, it is important to understand what is happening around us, not only from a political but also from a legal point of view, analysing the events.
It is the human rights revolution. Rules have to be settled respecting people’s innate rights. The protection of such people goes through specialised courts. More specifically, there are three regional courts: the European Court of Human Rights, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
It is the human rights revolution, and “Law Politics and Trade” (LPT) will actively take part of it. LPT creates a community of lawyers, researchers and practitioners serving and fighting for the protection of human rights. Legal systems around the world appear as developed in a different direction than the basic natural principles of human rights.
It is the human rights revolution and, for this reason, LPT suggests a growth in conjunction with other public and social areas of interest. In one year LPT will sensitize the community to the importance of International law and International human rights protection. Then, a new path, a new project will start: the evolution. The revolution will start.
From the beginning of May, interesting articles, debates and research will be published every Wednesday. To simplify the reading of the article, LPT offers a new system of “reading assistance”, highlighting the keywords (involved in any case).
Moreover, LPT will attach to every article different paintings, giving at the end of the article a brief description.
If you want to be part of the community, or suggest topic to be explored send us an email.
We can make big difference if we stay together. Let’s start this journey.
